About us

We formed Code 9 Design in September 2009 with an aim to offer clients a higher quality of service than what we could provide independently as freelancers. Coming together helped us build a company that could offer more services, advice and expertise, allowing us to spend more time with our clients, understanding their businesses and delivering the right solutions to meet and even exceed their requirements.

Together we have wealth of experience in web design, branding, design for print and online marketing - allowing us offer a wide ranges of services but with the flexibility and intimacy of a smaller agency. Our size also gives us a competitive edge allowing us to strike the right balance between value for money and quality. Although we are a relatively new business, we have over 20 years of experience in web design, graphic design and marketing, during our careers we have worked with large multi national companies like Microsoft and Toshiba and well as small to mid sized companies and new business. This experience allows us to be truly flexible in our approach and response to different client requirements.

We're a friendly and down to earth team, we are passionate about what we do and more importantly offering solutions that make a real difference to our clients. As a design and marketing consultancy we really like to get to know our clients so they feel comfortable working with us and think of us as an extension to their team.

Meet the team

Jerry Holliday

Marketing Director

Jerry has over 10 years experience in digital and Internet marketing. In recent years Jerry has become an expert in, SEO, Social Media and website optimisation. Jerry has a lot of experience in juggling many projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly and is delivered on deadline. He project manages design, digital and marketing campaigns as well as providing an internet marketing consultancy service to clients. Jerry is a seasoned blogger, writer of many guides and books and is always keen to share his expertise online and during consultations.

Jerry also has a creative background and is a keen illustrator.

Les Heywood

Creative Director

Les has over 10 years experience in graphic design, web design and illustration - specialising in creating, clean, stylish design solutions. Before Code 9 Les successfully ran his own freelance business which has given him a wealth of experience managing projects and deadlines whilst creating strong creative solutions. Les will go to extraordinary lengths to make sure his clients are delighted with the end design.

Les spends his spare time trudging through mud with his Labrador and raising money for dog rescue centres.
